I taught first grade for three years before moving to my current position as a Kindergarten Teacher.  I've been part of the Banks School family for twenty-one years.  

I grew up in Opp, Alabama and graduated from Opp High School in 1990.  I graduated from Alabama State University and Troy University, where I received my Bachelor and Master Degrees in Elementary Education.  I also graduated from Douglas McArthur Technical College in Opp with a Cosmetologist Degree and I am Alabama State Board Certified.  (No, I will not do your hair!) 

I enjoy going to gospel quartet concerts and singing a little also.  Most of my community service activity is through Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Chi Upsilon Zeta Chapter.  

My goal is to be a better person than I was yesterday.
